Marcus Lucas led all receivers with three catches for 103 yards and an 80 yard score in Mizzou’s first scrimmage of the fall camp this past Saturday. Today, Lucas, along with junior Bud Sasser, caught touchdown passes late in drills from Maty Mauk to secure a victory for the offense. Wednesday was a shortened version of practice as the team prepares for their second major scrimmage on Thursday.
I caught up with Lucas following the scrimmage on Saturday and he says he feels that the offense has playmakers across the board and if this team can play with confidence, they can accomplish a lot.
