Mizzou’s Wilson ready to take on added responsibilities as middle linebacker (VIDEO)

August 6, 2013 By Bill Pollock

Andrew Wilson is one of the top returning linebackers in the nation and opens up fall camp as the number one middle linebacker. The Peculiar, Mo., native has led Mizzou in tackles each of the last two seasons and now will have to deal new responsibilities.

An outside linebacker for much of his career, he now must learn new angles, be able to move from sideline to sideline and deal with the offensive line from opposing teams. As Wilson enters his senior season, he comes in with 219 career tackles, which is 50 more than the next-closest teammate (E.J. Gaines with 169). I caught up with Wilson following a recent practice.
