Mizzou football wraps up a busy first day (VIDEO)

Mizzou quarterbacks go through light conditioning drills Thursday afternoon.

After a full day of testing and team meetings, the Missouri Tiger football team took to the practice fields for the first time this season in shorts and helmets. Efforts are already in place to make sure the Tigers come out of this fall camp  healthy in time for the season opener against Murray State in 30 days.

No two-a-day practices. Even though Gary Pinkel usually only had five scheduled in the past, he’s hoping the players recover quicker in between practices and don’t add extra stress to their bodies.

Practices will usually take place in the morning starting at 7:15 with walk-throughs in the afternoons and meetings in the evenings.

Watch Pinkel’s first comments on the year.
