Ex-Mizzou wrestlers easily defend their Bellator MMA titles (VIDEO)

August 1, 2013 By Bill Pollock

Former Missouri wrestlers Ben Askren and Michael Chandler had no troubles defending their titles last night at Bellator 97, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The website mmajunkie.com calls Askren and Chandler the two most dominant champions.

Askren handled Russian Andrey Koreshkov for three rounds before getting a TKO in the fourth to retain the welterweight championship. Chandler needed just 44 seconds to knock our David “Caveman” Rickels to hold onto the lightweight championship.
