Harry Smith, a twice-former Missouri Football Coach and staff member died on Tuesday. He was 94. The Russellville, Mo. native started his coaching career in 1941 and was with the Tigers during a Big Six Conference championship and Sugar Bowl appearance.
Smith was back with Missouri in 1952 working under Don Faurot and then Dan Devine’s staffs from 1958-66, where the Tigers went 64-23-7 during that time and won the school’s first-ever bowl game.
Smith was inducted into the Mizzou Athletics Hall of Fame in 2002.
