Police are still working to confirm whether a body found in a portable toilet near a Liberty construction site is that of Chad Rogers, a Liberty man missing since he went out for a jog Monday night.

The body was found Friday morning by a construction worker. The Kansas City Star reports the site is about 2 miles from where much of the search for Rogers had been conducted. Authorities don’t know the cause of death or how long the body had been there.
Rogers’ family has issued a public statement saying they have accepted that Rogers is dead.
