Former Mizzou star and Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin tore his right ACL during Saturday’s practice. According to team reports, the injury occurred during 7-on-7 drills. At this point of camp, just a couple of days in, players are in no-contact drills without pads.
Maclin is entering the final season of his five-year rookie contract. Maclin had 69 catches for 857 yards and seven TDs last season.
Ironically, prior to the start of the 2006 Mizzou football season, Maclin appeared to be headed up the depth chart with a possible starting job as a true freshman, until he injured his knee in 7-on-7 drills and was lost for the year.
