Florida Gators linebacker Antonio Morrison was arrested for the second time in five weeks, this past Saturday, after allegedly barking at a Gainesville police dog and resisting arrest. Florida head coach Will Muschamp said Morrison, a sophomore who was projected to be the team’s starting middle linebacker, will miss at least the first two games of the season after being suspended from the team Sunday.

According to a police report, Morrison’s defense was the dog barked first. Morrison was arrested on a battery charge on June 16th, because he punched a bouncer, after he wasn’t given a discounted admission rate into a nightclub.

At the SEC Media Days last Tuesday, Muschamp said Morrison was punished internally by the program for that arrest.
