Pistons release Kim English

July 12, 2013 By Bill Pollock

After an 0-for-8 shooting performance in an NBA Summer League game, former Mizzou Tiger Kim English tweeted “Summer league, pre season, reg season… Losing + playing bad is the worse!! Good thing about this league is, the word TOMORROW!”  Things didn’t turn out so well for English in Detroit. The Pistons released English on Thursday after just one season. English averaged just 2.9 points and shot 37.5% in 41 games. The Pistons signed veteran Chauncey Billups as a backup, allowing them to cut ties with the 44th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.
