Missourinet Mornings–What I learned from Pete Rose (VIDEO)

July 12, 2013 By Bill Pollock

I joke at the end of today’s Missourinet Mornings video that I participate in the “Pete Rose Olympics.” Every four years I get all worked up about Rose, vent and then I don’t think about him for another four years.

I came across a blog from Scott Miller of CBSSports.com and he revisited the 1970 MLB All-Star game in which Pete Rose plowed over American League catcher Ray Fosse, winning the game in the 12th inning, but also injuring Fosse to the point he would never recover fully.

I guess the message I’m trying to pass along is there is a right way and a wrong way to play sports and Rose accomplished both ways at the same time.  Add me to your circles on Google+ and subscribe to my YouTube Channel.
