Phil Pressey hit two free throws with 10.8 seconds left to give the Celtics a 76-74 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday in the NBA’s Orlando Pro Summer League. Pressey contributed 11 points, four rebounds and five assists off of the bench.

Watch highlights of the win.  About 30 seconds in, watch Pressey’s layup, then steal along the sideline and a great pass to keep the play alive and give Boston another quick basket.  That type of play is what Boston coaches are hoping to see from Pressey.  He said they know he can create plays offensively, but they want to see him put pressure on the ball, change the game on the defensive ends.

Pressey, up to this point has shown that despite his size, he’s been able to fight off screens by playing up tight on ball handlers.

Alex Oriakhi, the former Mizzou forward drafted by the Phoenix Suns in the second round, will begin summer play in Las Vegas on Saturday.  Phoenix starts their schedule at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, vs.Portland.  The Suns will play in three preliminary round games through the 16th before being seeded in a tournament format. Each summer league team is guaranteed to play at least five games.
