Missourinet Mornings–Hot dog eating controversy (VIDEO)

July 8, 2013 By Bill Pollock

OK, I’m not trying to make a big deal out of this, but why is Joey Chestnut paid $10,000 for winning the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest when the women’s champion, Juliet Lee, only took home $5,000?  Just a question I’m asking. Regardless, both champions put up impressive numbers once again this year. How difficult is it to eat that many hot dogs in 10 minutes? Watch how many (or how  few) local Jefferson City contestants we able to get down in the same amount of time.
