Former Missouri Southern football player, Jeremy Johnson, has pleaded guilty to charges in a crash that killed two of his teammates. The 21 year old Johnson pleaded guilty to two counts of involuntary manslaughter in Jasper County Court on Monday.

Back in December of 2011, Johnson crashed on I-44 east of Joplin when he went into the median, overturned and was hit by a tractor trailer heading the other way, killing teammates Diondre Johnson and Michale McCrimmon, both from Springfield. Southern golfer Patrick Holt was also injured in the wreck.

Johnson, who was 19 at the time of the accident,  had a blood alcohol level of 0.11 at the time of the accident. Sentencing is set for August 19th.
