Mizzou Athletics released it’s near finalized 2013-14 Men’s Basketball non-conference schedule. The Tigers return to Sprint Center on Nov. 16 vs. Hawaii, return to St. Louis for the Braggin’ Rights Game vs. Illinois and host games against UCLA and West Virginia. Is this year’s schedule as challenging as last year’s? We’ll examine.

Mizzou starts a home-and-home series with North Carolina State on Dec. 28 in Raleigh, N.C., and hosts games vs. postseason qualifiers Western Michigan and Long Beach State. A few stinkers on this schedule, Northwestern (13th in Big Ten), Nevada (last in the Mtn. West) and Southern Illinois (last in the Missouri Valley).

If the Tigers add one or two more power teams to this schedule, it would help boost up the strength of schedule, but right now I think it lacks behind last year’s non-conference.
