Freese looks to continue his hot hitting

June 11, 2013 By Bill Pollock

I just crunched some of David Freese’s number during his current hitting streak and his streak is impressive.  As the Cardinals start a series in New York to take on the Mets tonight, there is no question that David Freese has certainly worked through his early season struggles with a 19 game hitting streak.  Back on May 16th, his average dipped to .209, going 0-for-3 against the Mets. He’s now up to .282, but he may be cooling off a bit. He’s two for his last nine. However, 16 of his 20 RBIs have come during his hitting streak, along with all three of his homers and five of his eight doubles.
