Mizzou’s Woodson grabs 10th place finish in 100m at nationals (VIDEO)

June 6, 2013 By Bill Pollock

At the NCAA outdoor track and field championships in Eugene, OR., Mizzou Freshman Markesh Woodson finished in 10th place in the 100m dash. Woodson finished his season with a new personal best time of 10.12. He missed the finals by .04. Woodson is the highest Tiger finisher in the 100m dash at the NCAA Championships since 1987.

Woodson wraps up a successful first year as a Tiger with an SEC Title in the 60m dash, an All-American finish in the 60m dash, a Missouri School Record in the 60m dash, an All-SEC finish in the 100m dash, and the SEC Freshman of the Year Award from the indoor season.

Here’s an interview from earlier in the season with Markesh from Missouri TrackFanatic on YouTube.
