Springfield Catholic will face Fatima for the Class 3 final which was suspended last night just before 10 p.m.  When play resumed this morning just after 9:30 a.m., Fatima had a runner on third with one out, trailing 2-1.  Nolan Bax reached on an error, scoring Hunter Hennier to tie the game.  Reid Kessel singled to move Bax to second and with one out, pitcher Seth Lehman drove home the winning run.  Lehman also picked up the win, going all seven innings and allowing just one earned run on five hits.

The championship game is schedule for 1 p.m.

Springfield Catholic got past New Madrid County, 5-0 in the first semifinal game on just five hits. However, five walks helped in the winning cause.  Matt Tipton improved to 8-1 on the season, allowing just three hits and three walks, while striking out nine in a complete game shutout.

In the Class 2 final on Thursday, Hartville beat West Platte 4-3.  Kevin Prock singled home the winning run as Hartville scored twice in the bottom of the 7th to rally for the championship.
