Mizzou/SEC Baseball Tournament Preview (Google Hangout)

May 20, 2013 By Bill Pollock

Mizzou, picked to finish last in the SEC in preseason poll by the league’s coaches, has qualified for the SEC Tournament as the No. 12 overall seed in its first year as a member of the conference. The Tigers put together a 10-20 mark in SEC play and actually have more SEC wins (10) than non-conference wins (eight) this season.

As the Mizzou baseball team prepares for its SEC Tournament first round matchup with fifth-seeded Mississippi State, Mizzou head coach Tim Jamieson took time to meet with reporters on Monday. Mississippi State head coach John Cohen also met with reporters to talk about the first-round matchup and the history between the two coaches – Cohen was a former assistant at Mizzou under Jamieson and former head coach Gene McArtor.

Kevin McCrarey of South Carolina Radio Network talks about Mizzou’s first round opponent, plus gives us insight on the Gamecocks should the Tigers beat the Bulldogs on Tuesday.
