The Mizzou softball team, seeded sixth in the NCAA Division I Softball Championship, will host No. 11 Washington in the Super Regional round Thursday, May 23 and Friday, May 24 at University Field. The Tigers take on the Huskies in a best-of-three series, with Thursday’s game set for 8 p.m. CDT on ESPN and the Friday game scheduled for 5 p.m. on ESPNU. A third game, if necessary, would follow at 8 p.m. on ESPN.

Missouri (38-12) is one of just three programs in the country to make six consecutive Super Regional appearances, with Alabama and Arizona State joining the Tigers. Mizzou has hosted the Super Regionals for four straight seasons (2010-13).

The Tigers earned their sixth-straight regional championship with the squad’s 5-0 win over Hofstra advance. Mizzou went 3-1 in regional play, beating Stony Brook (3-0) on Friday before defeating the Pride 1-0, on Saturday. Mizzou dropped a 10-0 result to Hofstra to force a rematch.

Washington (41-15), has made five-straight trips to the Super Regional round. The Huskies went 3-0 in their own regional in Seattle, Wash., to advance in the tournament.
