Only one person woke up in a Florissant house yesterday morning…and because she did, as many as a dozen members of her family are alive today.
Police say a ceiling fan had sucked carbon monoxide from the home’s furnace back into the House. When a woman woke up and found nobody else responsive, she called for help and started carrying people outside.
Officials have conflicting numbers of the people affected. The house did not have carbon monoxide detectors.
