May 2, 2013 By Bill Pollock

They say they always do things bigger in Texas and that is the case at College State. The Texas A&M board of regents approved expansion of Kyle Field to expand seating to 102,500, making it the largest stadium in the SEC and the third-largest stadium in college football. Only Michigan and Penn State have greater capacity, and A&M’s construction will just edge out Tennessee’s Neyland Stadium by 45 seats. The project, which will cost $450 million.Top five stadiums in college football

Penn State Beaver Stadium 106,572
Tennessee Neyland Stadium 102,455
Ohio State Ohio Stadium 102,329
Alabama Bryant-Denny Stadium 101,821
