As the massive manhunt for a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings shut down the city of Boston on Friday morning, the Red Sox and Major League Baseball have postponed tonight’s scheduled game at Fenway Park.

The Royals have been in Boston since Wednesday, when they arrived from Atlanta, following their afternoon win over the Braves. The Red Sox returned to Boston late Thursday night, following their three-game sweep of the Indians in Cleveland.  The Royals have been staying in there hotel.

Relief pitcher Tim Collins, from Worcester, MA., told KCRoyals.com, “It’s pretty scary,” Collins said. “I’ve never been part of anything like this and, obviously, there are tons of people affected by it but you just have to wait and, hopefully, they get the guy.”

His family and some friends were due to go to Fenway Park for Friday night’s game.
