Wade Davis pitched seven scoreless innings, Kelvin Herrera bounced back from giving up three home runs last night, and tossed a scoreless eighth, and Greg Holland finished off the Braves for a 1-0 win, as the Royals ended their ten game win streak.

The Braves were limited to just six hits while striking out 11 times. Davis punched out seven to improve to 2-0. Mike Minor put together a solid start, allowing just one run in six innings.

The Royals lone run came in the fourth inning. Alcides Escobar led off with a single to right field. With two outs, Lorenzo Cain reached on an infield single, advancing Escobar to second. Jeff Francouer delivered the game winner in his home coming with a single scoring Escobar.
