Mizzou wrestling finishes with five All-Americans

March 24, 2013 By Bill Pollock

Five Missouri Tigers earned All-American honors over the weekend by placing in the top 8 at the NCAA Wrestling Championships in Des Moines, IA.

While the Tigers landed five wrestlers on the medal stand, it was ultimately a disappointing tournament for 125 pounder Alan Waters and Heavyweight Dom Bradley. Both were the top seeds at their weight classes, but both ended up finishing 4th. Drake Houdashelt entered the tournament unseeded at 149, but finished 6th.

Seniors Nathan McCormick and Mike Larson both finished 8th…McCormick at 133 and Larson at 184.

As a team, Missouri finished 7th at the NCAA Wrestling Championships. Penn State crowned two individual champions and won their third consecutive team title.
