Missouri 8-man legend Chuck Borey has resigned from his position as Worth County’s football coach. After leading the Tigers to seven state championship games and winning five of them, he’ll focus on his principal and activities director duties.
“After four years as an assistant and then the last 16 years as head I have decided it was time to retire from coaching,” Borey said in the email. “I have had a great time and I have many unforgettable memories which I will always cherish.”
Borey compiled a 155-26 career record and directed 12 state playoff teams. The Tigers won 8-man titles in 1998, 2000, 2001, 2007 and 2011. The search for his replacement will start immediately.
