The Central Missouri Mules basketball team celebrates their MIAA championship.

After a 24-4 season and an appearance in the MIAA Tournament championship game, the Central Missouri Jennies earned a trip to the NCAA Tournament, drawing the No. 2 seed in the Central Regional tournament.  The Jennies will travel to Topeka, Kan. for the 2013 Central Regional, as MIAA rival Washburn earned the top seed and will host the tournament.

Friday, March 15 – Quarterfinal Round

No. 1 Washburn vs No. 8 Emporia State
No. 2 Central Missouri vs No. 7 Southwestern Oklahoma
No. 3 Concordia-St. Paul vs No. 6 Augustana
No. 4 Minnesota State vs No. 5 Arkansas Tech

On the men’s side, the MIAA regular season and tournament champion Mules were selected as the No. 4 seed in the NCAA-II Central Region. The Mules will play the fifth-seeded Harding Bison in the first round on Saturday in Mankato, Minn. on the campus of top-seeded Minnesota State.

This is the 21st NCAA Tournament appearance for the Mules (22-7) and the sixth under head coach Kim Anderson.
