Columbia College men grab #1 seed for next week’s NAIA tourney in KC

Columbia College, ranked #1 in NAIA men’s basketball, is the overall #1 seed in the national tournament that will begin next Wednesday at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City. The Cougars went 33-0 during the regular season and conference tournament. The other Missouri schools to reach the tourney are Evangel University in Springfield and Culver-Stockton in Canton, Missouri. Those schools begin play next Thursday.

NAIA D-I Men’s bracket

On the women’s side, The Columbia College women are a #4 seed, Williams Woods from Fulton is a #6 seed , and Central Methodist from Fayette is an 8 seed. They all play next Wednesday in Frankfurt, Kentucky.

NAIA D-I Women’s bracket

In NAIA Division II action. College of the Ozarks, hosting the men’s tournament in Point Lookout,  opened with a 57-49 win over Northwood Florida. The Bobcats will play Southern Oregon on Friday. On the women’s side. College of the Ozarks will play Milligan Tenn at 3:30 today.
