The Blues return to action on Thursday when they host the Chicago Blackhawks at Scottrade Center. The Blues look to put an end to Chicago’s record-breaking streak to start a season. The Blackhawks have yet to be defeated in regulation (16-0-3). They won 4-3 in overtime over the Edmonton Oilers on Monday night.

The status of two veterans is up in the air. Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that forwards Andy McDonald and Alex Steen left practice earlier today after being injured in the same drill.

McDonald collided with Vladimir Sobotka and went down. He made it to the bench, but limped off to the dressing room. Steen was hurt moments before that. Blues coach Ken Hitchcock would not lend any information into the status of each player.

The puck drops at 7 p.m. Thursday at Scottrade Center between the Blues and Hawks.
