The missing person in the Kansas City gas explosion has been pulled from the wreckage that destroyed a landmark restaurant near the Country Club Plaza.
The body has been identified as a woman who worked at J.J.’s restaurant as a server and had been missing since last night. Sixteen other people have been injured, two are in critical condition. A natural gas leak is the cause for the explosion that destroyed the restaurant.
At the time of the blast, most patrons had left the building after being warned of a gas leak. Staff members had also been warned to leave immediately at the time when the restaurant exploded.
