Rookie goalie Jake Allen came up big again for the Blues as he made 18 of his 28 saves in the third period and overtime…then stopped the Vancouver Canucks twice in the shootout to help St. Louis to a 4-3 win Sunday night.  Allen showed the poise of a veteran netminder. After giving up a power play goal to Mason Raymond with 1:47 left to tie the game at 3-3, he stopped Alexandre Burrows on a breakaway late in overtime, and stopped Ryan Kesler and Burrows in the shootout.

Allen, called up from the American Hockey League after Jaroslav Halak hurt his groin and put in when Brian Elliott struggled, won all three games on this road trip to Detroit, Calgary and Vancouver. Will Ken Hitchcock ride the hot goalie, even though Halak was healthy enough to back up Sunday?

T.J. Oshie and Andy McDonald, who each scored in regulation and the shootout helped lead the Blues twice from behind before Vladimir Sobotka gave them the lead eight minutes into the third period.
