The NFL has reinstated Gregg Williams after suspending him for his role in the New Orleans Saints’ bounty scandal, and the Tennessee Titans have added him to their coaching staff as a senior assistant coach for its defense. Williams, a native of Excelsior Springs, Mo., was set to run the Rams defense last season before the scandal surfaced.

Williams coached for the Saints between 2009 and 2011 and was hired by Jeff Fisher in January 2012. After the season, the Rams announced that the club was going in a different direction, leaving Williams free to look for a new job in the NFL since the playoffs started. Williams was defensive coordinator the Titans before becoming head coach of the Buffalo Bills in 2001.
