Auto mechanic ordered the car door, but not the cocaine

February 6, 2013 By Jessica Machetta

An auto mechanic in Poplar Bluff has found someone’s secret stash worth about $150,000.

The automotive repair shop reports it bought an SUV door from a salvage yard in Texas and later found six pounds of cocaine hidden inside.

Poplar Bluff Police Chief Danny Whiteley says the door apparently came from an SUV that was wrecked in the Dallas area, impounded by police and never claimed.
