Rams will not hire Rob Ryan as defensive coordinator

January 29, 2013 By Bill Pollock

After reports surfaced the Rams would hire Rob Ryan as their new defensive coordinator, head coach Jeff Fisher confirmed today that after a second visit with Ryan, the team will not hire him. Fisher cites that his addition to the staff would not be a good “scheme fit.”

Fisher also stated that the team did not make an official announcement that Ryan was hired for the position. Ryan was fired by the Cowboys on January 8 after Dallas went 8-8.
