Missouri Southern at Emporia State

WBB – ESU 68, Missouri Southern 52

Emporia State allowed just 19 points in the first half as they picked up a home victory over Missouri Southern. ESU hit nine three pointers holding MSSU to only two on the night as they picked up their second straight league win.

For the Lady Hornets Laura Patrick led all scorers with 22 points and three assists. Merissa Quick had 15 points and pulled down six rebounds and Rachel Hanf had 13 points. For the Lions Dominique Mosley had 17 points and Shatara Stone finished with 12 points. On the glass Tee Singleton led the way with eight rebounds on the evening.

MBB – ESU 76, MSSU 62

Each team shot .530 from the three-point line but Emporia State made more field goals to earn a home victory over Missouri Southern. The Hornets hit two more three’s and made six more buckets to earn their third straight game.

For the Hornets Kaleb Wright had 19 points, five assists and four rebounds. Paul Bunch added 18 points and nine boards while Chris Sights finished with 12 points. For the Lions RJ Leverette scored 22 points and Marquis Addison added 16 points. On the glass Jordan Talbert pulled down eight rebounds on the evening.

Missouri Western at Central Missouri

WBB – #16 UCM 74, MWSU 71

Missouri Western erased a nine-point halftime deficit to force overtime before falling on the road to #16 Central Missouri. UCM outscored MWSU 4-1 over the final two minutes of overtime with all the points coming from the free throw line.

For the Jennies Keuna Flax had a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds. BreAnna Lewis had 19 points and six boards while Brielle Wattley finished with 13 points. For the Griffons Heather Howard had a double-double with 26 points and 11 rebounds going 4 of 7 behind the arc. Alex Saxen scored 10 points and Alicia Bell pulled down 10 rebounds.

MBB – UCM 72, MWSU 60

Central Missouri shot .490 from the field to pick a home victory over Missouri Western. UCM pushed their MIAA leading winning streak to seven games as they moved to 7-1 in conference play.

For the Mules Dominique Long had 15 points and six rebounds while Charles Hammork finished with 15 points and eight boards. Widgett Washington had 13 points and six assists and Matt Webb had 11 points. For the Griffons Cedric Clinkscales had 21 points and added six rebounds. Adarius Fulton had 17 points and Dzenan Mrkajevic led the way with eight boards.
