Mizzou puts up lackluster effort in loss to Gators

10th ranked Florida thumped the #17 Missouri 83-52 on Saturday. Florida won its sixth consecutive game, 14-2, 3-0 SEC) and the win was Billy Donovan’s 400th at Florida. He joined Kentucky’s Adolph Rupp and LSU’s Dale Brown in the 400-win club in the SEC.

Erik Murphy scored 15 points and Kenny Boynton added 14 against the Tigers (13-4, 2-2). Murphy made 6 of 11 shots from the field, including three from 3-point range. Boynton hurt Mizzou after the Tigers turned the ball over 21 times, as the Gators converted the miscues into 34 points.

Phil Pressey accounted for 10 of those turnovers and also suffered offensively hitting just 1 of 7 shots and finishing with two points. The Tigers shot 33%. Jabari Brown led Mizzou with 16 points, but was only 5 of 18 shooting.
