Days after being waived by the New York Rangers, defenseman Wade Redden has found a new home with the St. Louis Blues, who signed the 35 year old to a one-year, $800,000 contract.

Redden, has spent the past two seasons with the Connecticut Whale, the Rangers’ American Hockey League affiliate. Last season, he posted four goals and 20 points in 49 games. Redden is a veteran of 13 NHL seasons including 11 years in Ottawa. Overall, Redden has appeared in 994 NHL games totaling 106 goals, 450 points and 654 penalty minutes.
