Former Cardinals pitcher signs with Cubs

Right handed pitcher Edwin Jackson, a member of the Cardinals 2011 World Series signed a four year, $52 million deal with the Chicago Cubs. Back in the 2011 postseason, he beat Philadelphia in game four of the NLDS that season. Last year the Cardinals whipped him in game three of the NLDS, that 8-0 win over the Nationals.

Jackson was 10-11 with a 4.03 ERA last season with the Nationals. He has averaged 199 innings the last five seasons. In addition to being with the Cardinals, Jackson pitched for the Dodgers, Rays, Tigers, D-backs, White Sox and Nationals, and has a career 70-71 record and 4.40 ERA.

The Cubs will be his sixth different team in the last six Opening Days.
