Aldon and Justin Smith, ex-Tigers earn Pro Bowl nods

December 27, 2012 By Bill Pollock

Justin is now a regular attendee of the Pro Bowl and Aldon is well on his way and he enjoys his first Pro Bowl in just his second year in the NFL. The former Missouri Tigers will be together and join seven of their San Francisco 49ers on the NFC roster.

Aldon ranks second in the league with 19.5 sacks this year, three short of the NFL single-season record set by Michael Strahan in 2001. Aldon set a 49ers franchise rookie record with 14 sacks in 2011. For his career, Aldon Smith has 33.5 sacks, the most for any player in his first two NFL seasons.

Justin has 75.5 sacks in this, his 12th year and this is the fourth consecutive season that he has been selected to the Pro Bowl.
