The 12th ranked Missouri Tigers had five players score in double figures and 11 different players score in a 102-51 win over South Carolina State on Monday night at Mizzou Arena. As a team, the Tigers shot 57.5% from the field.
Jabari Brown, the transfer from Oregon, did not start, but made his debut 3:59 into the game. Brown missed his first three shots from the floor, but finished the game with 12 points on 3 of 9 shooting. Brown also got to the foul line seven times and made five shots.
Senior Laurence Bowers joined former Tigers Kim English and Marcus Denmon to reach 1,000 points from the same recruiting class. Bowers finished the night with 11 points.
Earnest Ross led Mizzou with 16 points, Keion Bell had 12 and Stefan Jankovic, who earned the start, finished with 11 as well. South Carolina State struggled shooting, hitting just 29% from the field.
Next up for the Tigers will be the Braggin’ Rights game in St. Louis when they face Illinois with a 5 p.m. tip.
