Details are finally coming out about Missouri basketball guard Michael Dixon’s suspsension. He was accused of forcible rape on August 20, according to Columbia police department report obtained by the Columbia Tribune. There was not enough evidence to file charges against Dixon.

Missouri Head Coach Frank Haith has not given a timetable for Dixon’s return, but a series of tweets over the weekend from former Tiger Kim English, now with the Detroit Pistons, shows it may be out of Haith’s control.

In his tweets, English was highly critical of the school’s student board which has the right to suspend or expel a student. That student can then appeal, and the decision can be overturned by Chancellor Brady Deaton. English also tweeted it was good Missouri had an amazing chancellor who would make the right decision and reinstate Dixon.

The senior guard even tweeted recently that he had done nothing wrong. Dixon was suspended just before the start of the Tigers’ exhibition schedule. He did travel with the team on their recent trip to the Bahamas.
