The family of a Cape Girardeau murder victim is shocked by the four-year prison term given to the killer.
Jackson resident Ryan Harkey has avoided a possible life prison sentence by taking a plea deal that will require him to serve no more than four years.
He has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the stabbing death of a man outside a Cape Girardeau bar. Harkey says he was acting in self defense.
