Northwest Missouri State rolls in opening playoff game

Northwest Missouri forced three Harding turnovers and did not allow them positive yards passing as they move on with a 35-0 first round win. The Bearcats averaged 6.7 yards per play from scrimmage as they moved in the NCAA Division II Regional.

Trevor Adams was 17 of 26 for 212 yards and two touchdowns to lead NWMSU. Bill Creason, playing in place of the injured Jordan Simmons rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown. Tyler Shaw caught five passes for 119 yards and a score. On defense for the Bearcats DJ Gnader and Zach Williams had 11 tackles each while Nate DeJong added ten stops and an interception.

NWMSU will now travel to Mankato, Minn. on Nov. 24 for a match-up with top seeded Minnesota State.
