Mizzou defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson will be suspended for this Saturday’s game against Syracuse for breaking team rules, according to sources. Richardson is tied with the team lead of 70 tackles including 9.5 for loss, four sacks and three forced fumbles.

No official word has been given by University of Missouri spokesman Chad Moller. Look for senior Jimmy Burge to start in place of Richardson alongside Matt Hoch.

The Tigers (5-5) will become bowl eligible with a win over the Orange. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.

In other Mizzou news, the Columbian Missourian reports on a settlement in charges against DGB, dropping marijuana possession to trespassing.

KOMU’s Ashley Zavala reports that punt and kick returner Marcus Murphy will also miss the game because of an injury.
