For the second straight season the Griffon football team earned a home playoff game after defeating rival #4 Northwest Missouri State 21-20 on Saturday, November 10 in Maryville, Mo. The victory gave the Griffons 10 wins for the first time in school history as the Griffons won the MIAA title outright. The Griffons shared the title back in 2003. The Griffons at 10-1 overall and finished the MIAA season 9-1.

The Griffons will host #6 Minnesota-Duluth next Saturday, November 17 at 12:00 pm in Spratt Stadium. The Griffons are making their fourth playoff apperance in school history (2006, 2010, 2011, 2012). The Griffons will be looking for their first ever playoff victory as they have fell by an average of four points in the three games.
