November 12, 2012 By Bill Pollock

On the first play of overtime, Sam Bradford completed an 80-yard pass to Danny Amendola that took the Ramsto the two yard line, but the play was called back for an illegal formation. Later in OT, Greg Zuerlein kicked a 53-yarder, but the Rams were penalized 5 yards for delay of game, the fault of holder Johnny Hekker. Zuerlein tried again from 58 but was wide right with 2:42 left in OT and the Rams had to settle for a 24-24 tie at San Francisco. The first tie in the NFL since Philadelphia and Cincinnati, 13-13 in 2008.

Amendola returned following a shoulder injury that forced him to miss three games and he was Bradford’s favorite targer making 11 catches for 102 yards. Bradford went 26 for 39 for 275 yards and two touchdowns, as the Rams built a 14-0 first quarter lead.

Bradford was 11-for-12 targeting Danny Amendola on Sunday for 102 yards and seven first downs, the second time this season Amendola has reached 100 receiving yards. Bradford has a better completion percentage to Amendola than any other wide receiver in his career. Amendola has 26 first downs this season and a 44.1 first down percentage on his targets, while the rest of the Rams have 66 first downs on 192 targets (34.4 percent).
