JEFFERSON CITY—David Cole, Chairman of the Missouri Republican Party, released the following statement on Mitt Romney’s victory in Missouri:
“In 2008, Missouri was the only battleground state to vote against Barack Obama, and over the past four years, more and more Missourians grew tired of his liberal agenda and his failure to deliver on his promises to reduce the deficit and create jobs. Today, Missourians had the opportunity to go to the ballot box and send a clear message to the President—clearer even than we did in 2008 and 2010—and they joined Americans from across the country in repudiating the Obama agenda.
“Millions of voters proudly cast their ballots for America’s Comeback Team of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan, because they understand that a real recovery will only come from low taxes, economic policies that create jobs, sensible energy policies, reigning in the federal debt, and a strong military.”
