Lindenwood advances to MIAA soccer tournament finals

Lindenwood got the go ahead goal in the 73rd minute as the defeated Fort Hays State 2-1 to advance the MIAA Championship. The Lions got the scoring started in the 47th minute as Andre Hayne scored on a pass from Ivan Romero. The Tigers would answer in the 73rd minute as Tomas Mares scored an unassisted goal from the right side of the box. The game winner came on a header by Axel Duarte off a pass from Ivan Romero.

Lindenwood will face Northeastern State in the MIAA Championship at 11 am. on Nov. 3 from the Olathe Districts Activities Center.
