Pittsburg State 20, Truman State 6

Pittsburg State held the Bulldogs to just 216 yards and racked up 449 yards of their own on the way to 20-6 victory. PSU forced three turnovers as they used a 14 point second quarter to hold off TSU.

For the Gorillas Briceton Wilson ran for 115 yards and two touchdowns while Jason Spradling added 113 yards rushing. Anthony Abenoja passed for 67 yards and rushed for 54 from his quarterback spot. On defense Nate Dreiling had eight tackles and one sack. For Truman Conrad Schottel was 9 of 19 for 123 yards and Dallas Grier caught six passes for 89 yards. Derek Koon hit field goals of 44 and 46 yards to give the Bulldogs their only points. Richie Shumacher had 20 tackles and forced and recovered a Gorilla fumble.

Northwest Missouri 56, Washburn 6

Northwest Missouri picked off six Ichabod passes as they rolled to 56-6 victory on the road. NWMSU held WU to just 246 yards of total offense and racked up 406 yards of their own.

For the Bearcats Trevor Adams was 19 of 26 for 216 yards and three touchdowns as he hit Tyler Shaw for 67 yards and two scores. James Franklin carried the ball 14 times for 66 yards and two touchdowns. On defense six different NWMSU players picked off a pass. For the Ichabods Mitch Buhler was 10 of 24 for 148 yards and a touchdown. Jordan Hart caught two passes for 48 yards and a touchdown. Bryce Atagi had 14 tackles and Jahmil Taylor added 10 stops.

Northeastern State 22, Southwest Baptist 17

After Southwest Baptist took a 17-16 lead over Northeastern State with 9:39 to play, the Riverhawks answered with 1:25 to play to pull out the 22-17 win. SBU outgained NSU, but were outscored 12-7 in the fourth quarter as the RiverHawks picked up their second straight win.

For NSU Joel Rockmore carried the ball 38 times for 169 yards and three touchdowns. Johnny Deaton was 9 for 25 for 92 yards through the air. On defense Langston Jones finished with 13 tackles and one interception. For SBU Dan Connors was 35 of 54 for 275 yards and two touchdowns. Derwyn Lauderdale had 16 catches for 125 yards and two scores. On defense Jameson Manuma and Shaquille Shedd each had ten tackles.

Nebraska-Kearney 24, Central Missouri 18

Nebrask-Kearney scored with 5:36 to play to win their second straight game on the road at Central Missouri. The Lopers rushed for 332 yards and held the Mules 310 yards including -31 yards rushing.

For UNK Ricky Trinidad rushed for 217 yards on 34 carries taking the ball in for one score. Quarterback Matt Berry rushed for 104 yards and threw for 25 as he scored two TD’s on the ground. On defense Ryan Lendrum had 12 tackles and Sam Kuck picked off a pass. For UCM Colter Smith was 32 of 50 for 341 yards and two touchdowns. Ronrei Lloyd caught seven passes for 107 yards while David Cannon and Kyson Ginivan caught TD passes. On defense Ricky Spratley had 12 tackles while Joe Carter added ten stops.

Central Oklahoma 56, Lincoln 25

Central Oklahoma outgained Lincoln 585-335 on their way to a 56-25 victory. The Bronchos racked up 365 yards on the ground and overcame the games only turnover to pick up their second win.

For UCO Joshua Birmingham rushed for 272 yards and four scores while Christian Bobo ran for 91 yards and two scores. Through the air Adrian Nelson was 16 of 28 for 220 yards and a touchdown. On defense Adrian Schoecraft had 11 tackles and broke up two passes. For LU Jacob Morris was 14 of 38 for 88 yards and a touchdown. Morris Henderson ran the ball nine times for 72 yards and a TD. On defense O’Hara Fluellen had eight tackles and picked off a pass for second straight week.

Lindenwood 45, Missouri Southern 30

Lindenwood overcame a 14-0 early deficit to pick up a 45-30 win at home on senior day. Lindenwood picked off two passes and racked up 422 yards of total offense to move to 6-3 overall on the season.

For LWU Dillon Miller was 11 for 20 for 301 yards and four touchdowns. His favorite target was Andrew Helmick who caught five passes for 218 yards and three scores, also returning a punt for a touchdown. On defense Jaz Granderson had 14 tackles and Pierre Desir picked off two passes. For MSSU Kellen Cox carried the ball 18 times for 111 yards and a touchdown and Ne’Ronte Threatt had eight carries for 60 yards and a score and Travis Hurd returned a kick 90 yards for a score. On defense Gatlin Ridgway had had seven tackles and Alex Wong added six stops.

Thursday Night

Missouri Western 57, Emporia State 28

Missouri Western scored the first 47 points of the night as they racked up 532 yards of total offense on the way to the win. The Griffons scored on their first six drives and all of the drives they had in the first half.

For the Griffons Michael Hill rushed for 185 yards and two touchdowns and Raphael Spencer added 96 yards and a score. Travis Partridge was an efficient 12 for 16 for 150 yards and a score. On defense Michael Jordan had three tackles and returned an interception 91 yards for a touchdown. For the Hornets Tyler Eckenrode was 24 of 48 for 290 yards and two touchdowns. Shjuan Richardson caught 11 passes for 138 yards and a touchdown. On defense Ben Carlson had 13 tackles and Kadeem Satchell added ten stops.
