October 24, 2012 By Missourinet Contributor

A Jefferson County couple has been indicted on charges of conterfeiting U.S. currency.

38-year-old Misty Ann Root and 37-year-old Daniel Wayne Flynn of Imperial were stopped with $240 in counterfeit twenty dollar bills at the Kirkwood Wal-Mart Monday.

Later that night, police searched the couple’s home and revealed a large stash of additional counterfeit money and a printing operation.

If convicted, the couple could face up to 20 years imprisonment, a $250,000 fine or both.
