Semi-Trailer crashes into highway diner- kills one, injures two

October 20, 2012 By Missourinet Contributor

One person is dead and two are seriously injured after a semi-trailer crashed into a highway diner in Nevada yesterday afternoon. 54-year-old Joseph E. Cole of Nevada was pronounced dead at the scene, says the Missouri Highway Patrol. The patrol says the driver of a car pulled away from a stop sign and into the path of the truck, which was going southbound on U.S. 71. The driver of the truck tried to avoid the car but struck it and then ran into the Quick Dine Restaurant.
